I've had many people ask how this new law affects us.
Here is the answer:
NOT AT ALL.
Ukraine isn't affected by this law that's been recently instigated by it's neighboring country of Russia at all. We will still be flying to Ukraine next week and will move forward with our adoption as planned.

leave for Ukraine in 10 days! We still have $19,484.92 left to
raise. I can hardly believe how much success we've experienced in such a
short period of time! However, we still have a ways to go and a short period of time to get there! Your

When I first read this in the news my heart dropped. Then I immediately started researching this on my own. (It was late at night and I didn't want to bother you) So relieved!! I feel so bad for all the people who are trying to adopt and for the children that had it taken away from them. I hope this ban won't last long. I had a friend years back who had this happen to them when they were trying to adopt from a different country, so devastating!! You are blessed!! So happy for you guys...
ReplyDeleteI agree Tamari! I would be incredibly devastated if we were suddenly stopped right in our tracks to adopt. I really feel for the orphans and adoptive families. It is a very sad thing!
