The case worker for our homestudy came over first thing this morning. It was delightful. She was wonderful… blunt and honest about the difficulties we could potentially encounter, yet encouraging and understanding of why we would want to take on such a responsibility (she has adopted 11 special needs children herself). Once the homestudy visit was complete, James and I went to lunch and discussed what our next steps need to be. Today we mailed off our adoption agreement with our first payment. There is so much to do and it’s going to be a lot of work. We will just need to focus on one step at a time.
2 parents, 4 kids and 1 dog set out on an adventure to change their lives forever by adopting 3 orphan siblings from Ukraine.
