Plugging Along

This is what my amazingly supportive friend posted about our adoption today on Facebook.  I couldn't have given myself a better plug, so I'm just sharing hers with you all:

Dear Friends and Family,

Our friends the James and Shelly Truax Family are trying to adopt three sibling orphans from the Ukraine. They have to raise close to $70,000 in order to do that. They are holding an auction today and tomorrow with
all proceeds going directly to their effort to adopt. Would you please check out the auction items?

AUCTION

If there isn't anything that you want, would you still consider donating $10, $20, $50, or $100 towards their efforts?
DONATE

Everyone hates a plea for money. It makes us uncomfortable for a multitude of reasons, both to ask for it and to be asked for it. The demands on our wallets are heavy and varied. And often, you're never sure what the money you give will go towards.

In this case, forgoing a date night dinner and movie and instead donating that $50 towards the Truax's efforts to adopt, you'll know EXACTLY what your money is going towards. It's going to help three children who have been left parent-less have a chance at a home where there are two parents loving and praying and pulling for them.

Would you please consider it?

The auction is live.  Check it out, bid on items, and help us bring our three kids HOME!

And as always, thank you so much for your support in our efforts to adopt Albina, Alina and Maks!
